A Bubble pump or an Air-lift pump is a device which raises water using compressed air or water vapor bubbles, or in general, raises a liquid by introducing bubbles into the outlet tube. This has the effect of reducing the hydrostatic pressure in the outlet tube vs. the hydrostatic pressure at the tube opening.

The Einstein refrigerator used a bubble pump to raise the liquid refrigerant.
